Terms of use

ConfidentCar is a documentation tool. It helps a private-party vehicle seller organize and present their own information — vehicle details, condition answers, disclosures, photos, maintenance records, and paperwork checklists — as a shareable packet page, and relays buyer inquiries to the seller. By using the service you agree to these terms.

ConfidentCar does not inspect, appraise, verify, certify, or warrant any vehicle or any statement made by a seller. It is not an escrow service, does not hold or transfer funds, does not verify the identity of buyers or sellers, does not file paperwork with any government agency, and does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. Checklists and document templates are general information only — confirm requirements with your state DMV or an attorney.

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of everything in their packet, including condition ratings, disclosures, mileage, title and lien status, and uploaded documents. Publishing a packet is a representation by the seller — not by ConfidentCar — to prospective buyers.

The service is for genuine occasional private-party sellers. It may not be used for unlicensed dealing (“curbstoning”), for vehicles the seller does not have the right to sell, or to misrepresent a vehicle's condition, history, or title status.

Information on packet pages is seller-provided unless explicitly marked otherwise. Buyers should independently verify condition, title, and history — including a professional inspection — before paying. ConfidentCar is not a party to any transaction between buyer and seller.

Core packet creation is currently free. If and when paid features are offered, the price will be shown before you pay, and the following refund policy applies: if your published packet receives no buyer inquiries within 30 days of purchase, you may request a full refund at support@example.com. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant ConfidentCar a license to store, process, and display your packet content for the purpose of operating the service — including showing your published packet publicly until you unpublish, archive, or delete it.

No fraud, spam, scraping, harassment, uploading of unlawful content, or interference with the service. Accounts used for prohibited activity may be suspended or removed, with published packets taken offline.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConfidentCar is not liable for disputes between buyers and sellers, for losses arising from any vehicle transaction, or for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
